Caught In the Act

A couple of photos of me recording tracks yesterday for the song “The Inner Life”, which will be on the new album.  Although I would call the song “raga funk”, it’s actually a multicultural mishmash as not only does it have African-American and Indian influences, but we’re also using some instruments that I associate with American folk music, as seen here.  Actually, hammered dulcimers are very ancient and culturally widespread instruments, while the bowed psaltery appears to be a 20th century German invention.
